Kee Action Sports needed marketing images of their new paintball loader - Empire Prophecy.

Kee provided Protograph with manufacturing CAD data for the paintball system as SolidWorks files. The data contained over 14,000 nurbs surfaces. These were then lit and photo-real materials added to match existing photographs of a similar product. These were then rendered as high resolution images suitable for use across various media in 3 different colour ways.

A particularly challenging aspect of the project was the translucent version of the design, requiring all the ray-tracing power available of 18 Renderdrives to produce an image quickly.

The images were then used to officially launch the product before 'real' products we actually available. Protograph images were used in press advertisements, brochure pages and on the web site.
