The CAD model contained 8,399 individual surfaces. We turned this file into photo-real images for the product launch in 1 week.

Protograph was commissioned by No Climb Products Ltd to visualise their new testing product - Testifire. Testifire is the world's first multi-stimulus detector tester for smoke, heat and CO fire detectors.

The design was complete and being manufactured from their final CAD data. But they needed images of the new design for an important trade show where they wanted to launch the product, and the parts would not be ready in time.

The images needed to be high-resolution and photo-real, suitable for printing at A4 and larger for use on large exhibition panels. In the end we supplied images 5,000 pixels tall.

The images required included a technical shot revealing the internal components of the unit. This was fine because the data we had been given from their CAD system was the full manufacturing data which we had no difficulty working with. Our render systems are very good at handling big data sets, so we don't strip down the files for faster render speeds, it's not time efficient.
